Petina Hapgood as  Effie

Petina, is the Artistic Director of Goodmann Productions and  will be-directing Effie’s Burning. Last year she co-directed The Merchant if Venice and also took on the role of Shylock.  Petina is an experienced Theatre/TV/ and Film actress. In 2010 s The Killing of Sister George; saw Petina playing the title role of June Buckridge.  Recently she has  been playing Mary the pub landlady in Tortoise in Love. Petina has appeared in rep and touring productions up and down the country. Favourite roles include, Bella in Gaslight, Ange in Abigail’s Party, Hannah in California Suite and Jobs wife in The Book of Job.  On TV – roles include  The Bill, EastEnders, Grange Hill, Family Affairs, Chuckle Vision and many others. Film includes Tortoise in Love, The Truth About Love and War Brides. Petina is also a freelance theatre director, drama coach at The City Lit and  lamda examiner.  Petina is married to the gorgeous Bob, has children, grandchildren and two cats.

Robyn Moore as  Dr Kovacs

Robyn trained at The Drama Centre, most recently appearing at The National Theatre in “Scenes from an Execution”. Extensive theatre work includes Ken Campbell’s “Macbed”, also at The National; “Faust Parts 1&2” and “Morte D’Artur” for David Freeman at the Lyric Theatre; “The Weavers” and “My Mother said I Never should” for Dominic Cooke at The Gate and The Young Vic.
Her television work includes regular roles in “Family Affairs” and “EastEnders”; most recently appearing in “Holby City”, “Law and Order UK”, “Waking the Dead”, “Doctors” and “Casualty”. Robyn has been teaching Acting for over 15 years and 7 years at The City Lit, and is a founding member of Shapeshifters Ink, directing and acting in their inaugural production of “Othello” at The White Bear.

Petina Hapgood
Director

Petina is the artistic director of Goodmann Productions  and will be directing Effie’s Burning . Petina has directed A Dream Play for CL Theatre and Lady Windermere’s Fan for N1 Theatre Company in 2013. In 2012 she co- directed  The Merchant of Venice in which she  also played Shylock. Petina has a wealth of directing experience. Last year she also directed The Love of the Nightingale for N1 Theatre Company at the Courtyard Theatre and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot for the CL Rep Company at the John Lyon Theatre. In 2011 she directed an alternative version of A Midsummer Nights Dream. Other recent successes include Abigail’s Party at the Clock-house Croydon and touring. The Killing of Sister George (touring) for which she was the artistic director and played Sister George. Petina trained as an actress and came into directing a little later in life. However she now likes to combine the two. Lucy Appleby
Associate Director

As an Actor:
Lucy started as a child actor in films, working with David Niven, Norman Wisdom, George Cole and Ray Charles, amongst others.
She subsequently trained with Uta Hagen at HB Studios in New York.
Lucy was also in a number of well known TV series – Black Beauty , Special Branch, Love Story, Man Of Our Times etc.,

Her theatre work includes: Pride and Prejudice at the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury; touring for Bill Kenwright Productions; Edward Bond’s The Sea at the Royal Court directed by Bill Gaskill: and the award-winning Dear Daddy with Nigel Patrick & Phyllis Calvert at the Ambassador’s Theatre.

Lucy worked for a number of years in Japan for NHK (Japan’s BBC) both on TV and radio, and also with the prestigious Gekidan Mingei theatre company in Tokyo, subsequently touring Japan.

Lucy has recorded voiceovers in London, Tokyo, and New York, where she was also a newsreader.

As a director:
Lucy has been a prominent member of Actors and Writers London (AWL) for many years, directing many readings of new plays.
In 2013 she completed the City Lit Directing course, and has been assistant director on two productions there – A Dream Play and Market Boy.

Lucy is also a funeral celebrant, and a registered psychotherapist.

Chloe Kazamia
Lighting Designer

Chloe is originally trained as an architect at the National Technical University of Athens in Greece but lighting design won her heart since the very early stages of her carreer. Having a Master Degree in Architectural Lighting Design from the Royal School of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden she has been involved in various international projects (residences, hotels etc.) as lighting designer and consultant.
Chloe is currently exploring the world of theatre lighting, a whole new exciting world full of stories and new experiences. In the past she has been the lighting designer for the show ‘A Dreamplay’ by A. Stringberg directed by Petina Hapgood at CL Theatre. Currently, she is the lighting designer for ‘Effies burning’ by Goodmann Productions directed by Petina Hapgood.
